ISET

ISET Policy Institute (ISET-PI) was established in May 2011 to complement the educational mission of the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University (ISET), a prominent center of excellence in economics education and research serving the South Caucasus region. ISET-PI provides independent policy research and training, and reaches out to the broader academic, policy and business communities in region. In this way, ISET-PI strives to serve the growing needs of the private sector, civil society organizations, and the governments of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

ISET-PI has five research centers specializing in the following subjects: Agricultural Policy, Macroeconomic Policy, Energy & Environment, Private Sector Development, and Education & Social Policy. Each center maintains a portfolio of regular indices and analytical publications, and implements externally financed projects. The Institute is recognized by the policy community, civil society organizations and international development partners as a leading policy research institution in Georgia and the South Caucasus region. Led by international PhD economists, ISET-PI employs more than 20 researchers who undertake regular analytical tasks, implement projects, participate in public policy discussions, deliver training and otherwise educate the public.
