ISET-PI has updated its forecast for Georgia’s real GDP growth rates using the November 2015 releases of various economic indicators.

  • We have recently updated the GDP series (the dependent variable in our model), using the revised GDP growth rates available from Geostat.
  • Based on the November data, the forecast for GDP growth in the fourth quarter of 2015 now stands at 3.4%. This is 0.1 percentage points lower than in the previous vintage of the forecast.
  • Annual growth for 2015 is still expected to be 2.9%.
  • According to the second vintage of the forecast for 2016, the growth rate in the first quarter is predicted to be 3.5%. Once again, this is 0.1 percentage points below our previous prediction. Download the full report

ISET-PI has updated its forecasts for Georgia’s real GDP growth rates using the August 2015 releases of various economic indicators.
• The final growth forecast for the third quarter of 2015 has not changed significantly since last month (declining by only 0.02%) and remains at 2.6%.
• Similarly, the second growth forecast for the fourth quarter of 2015 is still 3.8%.
• Based on our forecast, the annual growth for 2015 is expected to be 2.9%.

  • Geostat has released its preliminary estimates of GDP growth for the third quarter. The estimated Q3 growth is 2.5%, only 0.1 percentage point below the ISET-PI forecasted value.
  • The forecast for GDP gorwth in the fourth quarter now stands at 3.6%.
  • Based on the latest update, the annual growth for 2015 is expected to be 2.9%.

• The growth forecast for the third quarter of 2015 has not changed since last month and remains at 2.6%.
• The first forecast for the fourth quarter growth of 2015 has been targeted at 3.8%.
• Based on the new forecast, the updated annual growth projection for 2015 is 2.9%.
