The objective of the study is to assess potential impact of the draft law on soil degradation processes in Georgia.
The study examines current situation regarding land degradation in Georgia and estimates potential costs and benefits of the draft law. It also looks at the division of responsibilities among stakeholders as well as the challenges that might arise during the implementation of the draft law.
The study assesses economic, social and environmental value of soil and provides recommendations regarding its protection and proper management.
