The objective of the research is to contribute to solving the issue of energy security, equity and environmental sustainability in high mountainous settlements of Georgia.
The study examines the current situation regarding energy access in mountainous regions, as well as the potential for adopting various alternative energy sources. The study examines the major legal and socio-economic challenges regarding access to persistent energy in mountainous regions. It also assesses the costs and benefits of adopting technologies for respective alternative energy sources.
