On Saturday, June 6, the Agricultural Policy Research Center (APRC) of ISET Policy Institute was invited to participate in information fair “America Days 2015” organized by the Embassy of the United States Georgia showcasing successful cooperation between ISET Policy Institute and USAID.
America Days was a week-long festival of American culture that has kicked off in west part of Georgia on June 2. With a broad range of events planned, America Days began in Zugdidi, later moved to Akhaltsikhe and Gori and ended in Tbilisi on June 6. Visitors had a great opportunity to receive information on exchange programs, Embassy grants, USAID projects and the Peace Corps in Georgia.
As known, APRC has been established at the ISET Policy Institute in July 2014 with a 3-year grant from USAID as a synergy between policy research, professional training, and teaching activities, capitalizing on the institutional strengths of ISET and ISET-PI. The goal of the Center is to be a leading player in agricultural policy research in the region, promoting evidence-based policymaking in the agricultural sector. It was a significant opportunity for APRC to interact with various stakeholders and interested individuals, to provide them with center related information and to seek for possible partnerships with other companies and organizations working in the field of agriculture.
