On August 16-22, 2015 the head of ISET-PI's Agricultural Policy Research Center (APRC), Pati Mamardashvili participated in a study tour in Switzerland, organized by the Market Opportunities for Livelihood Improvement in Kakheti (MOLI) project. Local government and private sector representatives from Kakheti were invited on the tour.
The tour aimed at sharing the experience of Switzerland and its different approaches and mechanisms for local economic development and public-private dialogues on agriculture/rural development.

During the one week tour, the participants were able to meet key stakeholders in Switzerland's agricultural value chains and observe examples of constructive public-private dialogue.

Understanding how government, private sector, and community-based organizations can work together to adapt to the changing market environment was the subject of several field visits and a panel discussion with state and cantonal officials of Switzerland.
