ISET is proud to announce that resident faculty member Norberto Pignatti has recently become research fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA), a private, independent research institute based in Bonn (Germany), which conducts nationally and internationally-oriented labor market research. IZA runs the world's largest research network in economic science, comprising over 1,300 international Research Fellows and Affiliates, as well as Policy Fellows from business, politics, society and the media. IZA is an international research institute and a place for communication between academic science, politics, and economic practice.

As of today, the RePEc ranks IZA second of the top worldwide economic institutions in the field of labor economics. Always according to RePEc IZA is the number one top economic institution in Germany (and the 20th worldwide).

Norberto Pignatti is an Assistant Professor at the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University (ISET) and Head of the Energy and Environmental Policy Center at the ISET Policy Institute.

Before becoming part of ISET's resident faculty in 2009, he worked at the Development Centre of the OECD in Paris, at the World Bank in Washington D.C., and at the University of Bologna. He currently teaches Economics of Energy Markets, Cost-Benefit Analysis and Program Evaluation in the second year of ISET's Master's Program.

His teaching portfolio also includes Public Economics, Development Economics, Economics of Transition, Labor economics and Econometrics. His research interests are Labor Economics (with emphasis on developing and transition countries), Behavioral Economics, Sustainable Development and policy studies in general.
