ISET is proud to welcome Maria De Paola, a visiting professor working at the Department of Economics, Statistics and Finance at the University of Calabria in Italy. Currently an associate Professor of Economics, Maria obtained her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Rome.
ISET students had a chance to learn from April 11 – April 22 2016, when she taught 2nd year students an elective course in Education Economics. In addition, she made a public lecture on her and Vincenzo Scoppa’s research on Procrastination, Academic Success and the Effectiveness of a Remedial Programme.
Her work has been published in a number of prestigious journals, such as the Journal of Labour Economics, the Journal of Public Economics, and the Journal of Population Economics. Her research interests include the economics of education and training, labour economics, and policy evaluation and economic politics.
