On May 8, an ISET team participated in the “Wings for Life World Run 2016” charity event held on Lopota Lake in the Kakheti region of eastern Georgia. In total, ISET representatives ran almost 15 kilometres.
The aim of the event is to contribute to the global charity campaign and express solidarity with people with spinal cord injuries. Donations to Wings for Life help towards finding a cure for paralysis; the organization funds world-class scientific research and clinical trials all around the world. The World Run 2015 was held in 33 different locations around the globe, according to the official statistics published by the organization, and over 100,000 people participated in the charity marathon this year. Compared to last year, the number of participants in Georgia grew from 5,000 to 7,000. Promoting “Healthy Economics” is one of the core values of ISET and we are proud of being part of the global community. Everyone at ISET is driven towards making the world a better place for everyone.
