Position: Deputy Director for Finance / Secretary to the Board;

Role Overview
Governance coordination:
• Is responsible for coordination of all governance-related meetings (Governing Board, Executive Board, Academic Committee, Policy Committee), task ownership assignment and tracking, implementation assessment;
• Oversees internal communication of strategic and financial performance.
Finance and HR:
• Is responsible for managing the Finance and HR departments;
• Is responsible for appropriate control of Finance, Accounting, Performance Reporting, and HR;
• Oversees the implementation of a 3-5 year strategy to ensure ISET and ISET-PI sustainability;
• Collaborates with other departments and management to identify and pursue funding prospects, supports the development of funding proposals and donor reports (Including PI funding proposals);
• Provides appropriate management reports as directed by the Director and the Executive Board;
• Provides high-level management for all financial activities including strategic financial planning, budget analysis and management, financial modeling and reporting, cost benefit analysis, forecasting, accounting and maintaining operations;
• Is responsible for implementing appropriate internal financial systems and processes to ensure compliance with accepted accounting policies and practices;
• Provides HR leadership by overseeing the implementation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures, talent acquisition, employee career development, succession planning, retention programs, training and leadership development;
• Coordinates management audit process, whether internal or external lead.
Qualifications (Recommended):
Education:
• Recognized degree in the field of Finance or Accounting;
• Certified/Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent.
Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years of corporate experience, of which minimum 5 years is a senior financial management role;
• Proven expertise in accounting principles and strong understanding of financial, accounting, and taxation requirements;
• Proven expertise in HR policies and procedures management;
Profile:
• Manages resources effectively through strong organization skills, multi-tasking, delegation, time management and project management skills;
• Detail oriented and highly organized with strong analytical skills;
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills;
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required;
• Proficiency in one or more languages spoken in the Caucasus is desirable.
