ISET

ISET Policy Institute was recognized by the 2015 Global Go to Think Tank Index produced annually by Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the Lauder Institute, University of Pennsylvania.

The goal of this world-renowned index is to gain understanding of the role think tanks play in governments and civil societies. The TTCSP works with leading scholars and practitioners from think tanks and universities in a variety of collaborative efforts and programs, and produces the annual Global Go To Think Tank Index that ranks the world’s leading think tanks in a variety of categories. This is achieved with the help of a panel of over 1,900 peer institutions and experts from the print and electronic media, academia, public and private donor institutions, and governments around the world.
ISET Policy Institute was listed in four different categories:

The 17th Annual World Bank Conference on Land and Poverty, held March 14-18, 2016, at the World Bank Headquarters in Washington D.C., gathered stakeholders from government, the development community, private sector and academia to discuss land policy issues worldwide. ISET-PI was represented by Pati Mamardashvili, head of our Agricultural Policy Research Center (APRC).

Scaling up Responsible Land Governance was the main theme of this year’s conference. Participants shared the most effective practices of land policy design and lessons learned from policy implementation from around the world. How can governments ensure transparent, inclusive and sustainable land policies? How do technological progress and improved access to information contribute to more secure land tenure in developing countries? What is the relationship between the size of agricultural plots and productivity?
