Nerses 2

Nerses Yeritsyan represents the government of the Republic of Armenia on the ISET Governing Board. He currently holds the position of the Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia since December 22, 2010. His previous work experience includes the Parliament of the Republic of Armenia, the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) and the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia. In the Central Bank of Armenia he successively held the following positions: Advisor to the Chairman, Head of Monetary Policy Department, Member of the Board for two terms, Senior Advisor to the Chairman (Deputy Chairman of the Managerial Board), and Acting Head of the Financial Monitoring Center (FMC/FIU). Nerses Yeritsyan held also the position of Advisor to the Dutch Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund.

His professional activities cover the areas related to private and financial sector development, monetary policy development, banking and financial markets. Nerses Yeritsyan has been working extensively on the Pension, Inspection Development, Quality Infrastructure, E-Armenia, Business Environment Improvement and Capital Market Development Reforms in Armenia. He is the author of several scientific articles, including the “Central Bank Operations, Monetary Policy” chapter of Textbook on Modern Banking in Armenia. He has come up with a pack of lectures on “Economics of Money, Banking and Financial Markets” at Yerevan Institute of National Economy. Nerses Yeritsyan became a member of Armenian Republican Party in November 2009. Nerses Yeritsyan holds a degree of Doctor of Economics (Thesis - “Challenges in Designing and Implementing of Financial Programs in Armenia”).

Linda Nøstbakken joined the Department of Economics at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) as an Associate Professor in 2013. Prior to that, she spent five years as an assistant professor at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta. Linda Nøstbakken holds a Ph.D. in Economics from NHH (2005).

Her research focuses on issues related to the use and management of natural resources and the environment. She currently serves as co-editor of the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management and associate editor of Natural Resource Modeling.

Assistant to the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Emin Huseynov

Mr. Emin Huseynov represents Government of Azerbaijan in the Governing Board. Since 2018 he serves as an Aide to the First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Mr. Huseynov, professional economist, started his career at international organizations such as the United Nations, the World Bank, and the IMF. From September 2005, he joined the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) to head the newly established Research Department. In 2010, a new Center for Research and Development was established on the basis of the Research Department within the CBA and Mr. Huseynov was appointed a Director of the Center while simultaneously serving as one of the Executive Directors of the CBA responsible for R&D. In 2013 Mr. Huseynov has joined ADA as a Vice Rector of Strategy and Development, and later as Vice Rector of Academic Affairs and Strategy. Mr. Huseynov was appointed a Deputy Minister of Finance on June 24th, 2016, where he was responsible for Macroeconomic Policy Research, Public Financial Management Reforms, such as Medium-Term Expenditure Framework, Fiscal Rule and Medium- and Long-Term Public Debt Management Strategy.

Mr. Huseynov holds two Master degrees, in Economics from Florida State University (1998) and in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School (HKS, 2009). In 2014, he completed his PhD in Econometrics from Baku State University.

EkaZerekidze

Eka Zerekidze graduated from Georgian Technical University. She has been working in the IT field for more than 20 years. Eka joined ISET in 2007. She holds the position of an IT Manager. She is in charge of websites management, database management, and supervises learning management system MOODLE and other IT resources. Eka is extremely detail-oriented and meticulous. She is able to solve any problem related to IT, computers and websites. She also provides help desk and IT training to ISET staff and students.
