Deputy Head of the Private Sector Development Research Center
Ana Burduli is a Deputy Head of the Private Sector Development Policy Research Center at the ISET Policy Institute. Ana holds a Master’s Degree in Quantitative Economics from the University of Tartu in Estonia (2017) and received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from Tbilisi State University (2014).
Before joining the ISET Policy Institute, Ana worked as a Business Development Officer at the Policy and Management Consulting Group (PMCG), where she was involved in conducting research on policy developments in the regions of South Caucasus, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and developing project proposals for international development projects mainly in the fields of Public Finance Management, Business Enabling Environment and Doing Business Reform. Prior to this, Ana served as a Research Assistant at the Central Bank of Lithuania in its Center for Excellence in Finance and Economic Research (CEFER) working on DSGE models, as well as as a Mentor for the Masters of Applied Economics Programme at CERGE-EI in Prague. Since October 2019, she is a Visiting Lecturer at Ilia State University, delivering a Principles of Economics course to BA students.
Researcher at the Energy and Environment Research Center
Mariam Tsulukidze is a researcher at the Energy and Environment Policy Research Center (EEPRC) of the ISET Policy Institute. She joined the EEPR Community in September 2018 after graduating with an MA in economics from ISET with honors. Ms. Tsulukidze specializes in Energy Economics, and in her Master Thesis estimated the potential private costs and benefits of residential shared rooftop photovoltaic systems in multistory buildings in Tbilisi in a variety of different scenarios. During the first year of her Master’s studies, Ms. Tsulukidze undertook a project pertaining to the effects of renewable energy implementation on CO2 emissions based on data from a number of different countries. Her spheres of interest are Energy Market and Regulation, Renewable Energy Sources, Natural Resources, Water and Waste Management, Climate Change and Public Policy Issues.
Before joining the EEPRC community, Ms. Tsulukidze worked as a research assistant at the World Experience of Georgia (WEG). She obtained her BA in International Business Studies from Østfold University College in Norway in 2016. Along with her research, Ms. Tsulukidze works as a teaching assistant at ISET, teaching Econometrics to second-year BA students. Previously, she worked as a teaching assistant in Macroeconomics for BA students and Economic Theory, Consumer Theory (Microeconomics 1), Open Macroeconomics and Time Series Macroeconomics for first-year MA students.

Senior Researcher at the Governance and Social Policy Research Center
Tamta Maridashvili received Bachelor’s degree majoring in Economics from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Tbilisi, Georgia) and Master’s degree in Economic Growth, Innovation and Spatial Dynamics from Lund University (Lund, Sweden).
Tamta joined the Governance and Social Policy Research Center (SPRC) at ISET Policy Institute as a Research Associate in September 2016. Before that, she did the internship in the same center and was involved in the project addressed at the support of entrepreneurial education in Vocational Education and Training (VET) Institutions in Georgia. Tamta as a Research Associate will be involved in various projects and publish the blogs actively.

Researcher at the Energy and Environment Research Center
Mariam Lobjanidze has been a researcher at the Energy and Environment Policy Research Center (EEPRC) at the ISET Policy Institute since September 2018. She received her Master’s Degree in Economics (Summa cum Laude) from ISET, with her MA thesis focusing on Energy and Natural Resource Concentration; these remain principal influences on her interests, which include Energy Market Regulation, Renewable Energy Sources, Natural Resources, Climate Change and Social Issues. She obtained a BA in Mathematics with honors from Tbilisi State University in 2016.
Along with her research, Ms Lobjanidze works as a teaching assistant at ISET, teaching Econometrics for second-year BA students. Between 2017 and 2019, she also worked as a teaching assistant in microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics courses.
Senior Researcher at the Agriculture and Rural Policy Research Center
Salome Deisadze is a Senior Researcher of the Agricultural Policy Research Center at the ISET (International School of Economics at TSU) Policy Institute. Along with other research projects, she is involved in publishing the Agri Review, and writes monthly highlights on food price changes in local and international markets. Her research interests lie broadly in the area of agricultural economics, rural development, and labor economics.
Currently, Salome is a PhD student at Tbilisi State University. In 2016, she received a Master's degree in economics at ISET, and that same year successfully completed the Course for Graduate Teaching Fellows in Teaching principles and Practices for Economics at the Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education (CERGE) of Charles University in Prague. Currently, she is a visiting lecturer in Elements of Practical Mathematics at Ilia State University.
