ISET was honored to host a third delegation representing the long-time partner, Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen. A four-day program included anti-corruption seminars, public discussions, and site visits to relevant public institutions and businesses.
The main goal of these events was for Georgian and Norwegian students to better understand of political and socio-economic context of Georgia’s anti-corruption reforms, what worked and what did not work. Georgia is internationally recognized for its successes in reforming the public sector, improving the quality of public services, and eliminating corruption. Georgia’s experience – both positive and negative – carries lessons both for its current policymakers and development practitioners around the world.
The Agricultural Policy Research Center (APRC) of the ISET Policy Institute has launched a new monthly analytical publication – the Agri Review. The goal of the publication is to summarize the major economic developments in the agricultural sector and provide a brief analysis of major economic indicators.
The publication presents the main economic figures of Georgia’s agricultural sector and consists of four sections:
1. Sector at a glance featuring production, employment and FDI in the agricultural sector;
2. Price highlights looking at domestic and international prices;
3. Trade highlights describing share of agricultural exports and imports in total exports and imports as well as export and import diversification indexes;
