On August 16-22, 2015 the head of ISET-PI's Agricultural Policy Research Center (APRC), Pati Mamardashvili participated in a study tour in Switzerland, organized by the Market Opportunities for Livelihood Improvement in Kakheti (MOLI) project. Local government and private sector representatives from Kakheti were invited on the tour.
The tour aimed at sharing the experience of Switzerland and its different approaches and mechanisms for local economic development and public-private dialogues on agriculture/rural development.

During the one week tour, the participants were able to meet key stakeholders in Switzerland's agricultural value chains and observe examples of constructive public-private dialogue.

On August 13th, 2015 APRC at ISET Policy Institute organized a workshop on crop insurance reform in Georgia. The goal of the workshop was to consult with stakeholders to define specific objectives of the proposed policy interventions and to select policy options for further analysis.

The following stakeholders attended the workshop: Agricultural Projects Management Agency (APMA), Georgian Insurance Association (GIA), insurance companies, Georgian Farmers’ Association (GFA), a USAID project Governing for Growth (G4G), and Agroinsurance International.

The workshop was opened by Pati Mamardashvili, the head of APRC (Agricultural Policy Research Center), who made introductory remarks and outlined the goal of the workshop.
